Once your final payment is received, you will receive all of your travel documents and necessary information within one week prior to your departure. Depending on what group you are a part of, you will receive them by mail, email, be able to pick them up at our office, or receive them from your school’s rep.

StaffBus Captain
Each bus that travels with Breakaway Tours is assigned a Bus Captain. The Bus Captain’s role is to accompany our groups to and from their destination, assist with arrivals and departures, and attend all events and activities during the tour.
Destination Staff
Many tour operators, hotels, airlines, restaurant and club owners have labeled our staff as the best in the industry. We are always available in case of an emergency and are there to accompany our groups to and from their destination, assist with arrivals and departures, and attend all events and activities during the tour.
Hotel Security
In addition to our own staff, each hotel hires security. They are responsible for upholding hotel policies, making sure the students conduct themselves in a mature fashion and reporting anyone who may be a disturbance to others.
Leaving Quebec CityDeparture Information
Departures will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on the final day. All hotel guests sharing a room must present themselves as a group to the front desk to have their hotel bracelets removed. Guests will not be allowed to board the bus without confirmation of their hotel check-out.

Luggage
Please limit your luggage to one large suitcase and one small bag that can be brought on board the bus if necessary. A limit of one pair of skis or one snowboard is allowed. Please clearly identify your luggage with your name, address and telephone number. You are responsible for your luggage at all times.
Damage Recovery Fee
Each passenger is required to pay a $20CDN cash Damage Recover Fee (DRF). The DRF has been implemented to replace the need for passengers to put down a damage deposit for hotel rooms and common areas of the hotel while on tour, as well as eliminating the need to collect common area damage fees from passengers at the end of their tour. The DRF does not cover any damage over the sum value of $250 or any damage caused through willing or malicious intent where the passenger/party intentionally damages hotel and/or bus property. If damage is deemed to be intentional, the individual or party in question will be charged the full cost of the damage. The DRF is
non-refundable.
Tipping
A 15% tip in restaurants and bars is the norm. It is also common to tip bellboys and maids. The better you tip, the better service you can expect to receive.
