BEFORE LEAVING
Travel Documentation: Once your final payment is received, you will receive all of your travel documents and necessary information within one week prior to your departure. Depending on what group you are a part of, you will receive them by mail, email, be able to pick them up at our office, or receive them from your school’s rep.
Pick-up & Departure Information: Pick-up locations and departure information will be attached to your travel documents.
STAFF
Bus Captain: Each bus that travels with Breakaway Tours is assigned a Bus Captain. The Bus Captain’s role is to accompany our groups to and from their destination, assist with arrivals and departures, and attend all events and activities during the tour.
Destination Staff: Many tour operators, hotels, airlines, restaurant and club owners have labeled our staff as the best in the industry. We are always available in case of an emergency and are there to accompany our groups to and from their destination, assist with arrivals and departures, and attend all events and activities during the tour.
Hotel Security: In addition to our own staff, each hotel hires security. They are responsible for upholding hotel policies, making sure the students conduct themselves in a mature fashion and reporting anyone who may be a disturbance to others.
ARRIVAL AT MONT TREMBLANT
At the Hotel
Upon arrival at the hotel you will be directed to the Breakaway Tours hotel check-in information meeting. At this time you will be given the rules for the tour, general hotel information, identification bracelets, and your room keys.
Note: For hotel-only packages, check-in time is after 4 p.m. on your scheduled day of arrival.
LEAVING MONT TREMBLANT
Departure Information
Departures will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on the final day. All hotel guests sharing a room must present themselves as a group to the front desk to have their hotel bracelets removed. Guests will not be allowed to board the bus without confirmation of their hotel check-out.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Travel Time: 7 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Montreal, 2 hours from Ottawa, and 14 hours from Halifax
Luggage: Please limit your luggage to one large suitcase and one small bag that can be brought on board the bus if necessary. A limit of one pair of skis or one snowboard is allowed. Please clearly identify your luggage with your name, address and telephone number. You are responsible for your luggage at all times.
Damage Deposit: Each passenger is required to pay $100 cash damage deposit directly to the hotel upon arrival. This will be returned at the end of your stay if no damage occurs to your room or common areas of the hotel. If you witness anyone causing damage, please report them immediately.
Tipping: A 15% tip in restaurants and bars is the norm. It is also common to tip bellboys and maids. The better you tip, the better service you can expect to receive.
Activities & Excursions: Optional excursions are a great way to enhance your Breakaway Tours package. Choose from a wide variety of activities and excursions available at your destination. For more information please consult your destination staff or your Breakaway Tours Savings Passport.
