Breakaway Tours is expanding its Destination Staff! Job Positions Available: Bus Captain, Destination Staff
Reporting To: Recruiting, Training & Retention Manager
Basic Job Description
- Escorting the groups from their point of origin to their final tour destination
- Assisting with all activities, shuttles, and events of the tour while on destination
- Provide area information as well as safety and activity briefings for all clients
- Helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all travelers throughout their tour
- Working closely with all Breakaway Tours staff and suppliers
Requirements
- Understanding of such a volunteer position
- Breakaway Tours experience is an asset, but not necessary
- Attendance at our mandatory pre-trip training session
- The ability to be professional and conduct themselves accordingly while representing Breakaway Tours
- Must be able to follow all instructions and guidelines provided
- Willing to learn, cooperate, and get involved at the destination
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership experience is a definite asset (Frosh/Orientation Leader, Residence Advisor, and Camp Counsellor are all suitable forms of relevant leadership experience)
Applicants must be high school graduates (and preferably attending college or university) who have an interest in the student travel market.
