Breakaway Tours is currently seeking highly energetic interns who are looking to gain experience in sales, marketing & travel! Breakaway Interns will work in our Toronto office with our Sales Teams, Operations Department and Customer Care with an opportunity to assist on one of our major tours to Quebec City, Montreal, Daytona or Cancun.

Over the past two decades, Breakaway Tours has become the largest student leisure tour operator in Canada, taking over 22,000 travelers annually to destinations around the world. Position: Internship / Co-op Placement throughout the months of September 2011 – April 2012.

Responsibilities
• Assist Sales Team to recruit Reps, meet with Reps, manage group accounts and data entry
• Help prepare materials for Rep and\or Parent Meetings
• Enter reservation forms and payments
• Collect Account Receivables
• Announce excursion package details to passengers prior to trip departure
• Assist with Customer Care calls
• Assist with all activities, shuttles, and events while on tour
• Provide area information as well as safety and activity briefings for all clients while on tour

• Willing to learn, cooperate, and get involved
• Charismatic and friendly
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Willing to work weekends if needed
• Excellent computer skills – Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Currently enrolled in a Business, Marketing or Travel program preferred

Working Relationships
Work closely with Business Development Director, Customer Care and Travel Specialists.

We are currently seeking students who can complete their co-op placement during the months of September 2011 – April, 2012.
