Position Title: Account Manager (full-time)
Department: Sales
Reports to: National Sales Director
Compensation: Salary + commission, paid mileage, benefits, opportunity for bonus

Nature and Scope
The Account Manager is responsible for selling student leisure travel to College/University and High School students within a given territory. Applicants must be a College or University Graduate who have an understanding of the student market. A travel industry background or knowledge of our company and tours is an asset.
Major Responsibilities
· On-Site destination responsibilities (will vary)
· Give presentations to student groups (reps or travelers) and parents
· Achieve sales targets for new business sales and retention clients within their territory
· Manage all aspects of their territory and develop new clients within their territory
· Manage student representatives within their territory
· Maintain and grow profitability/margins in territory
· Provide weekly reporting as required
· Work with the team in developing strategies to drive future business
Qualifications
· University Degree or College Diploma required
· Knowledge of Travel and Tourism Industry an asset
· Ability to develop strong relationships with school representatives
· Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
· Excellent presentation skills and communication
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Extensive knowledge of the destinations offered by Breakaway Tours
· Excellent computer skills - Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
· Ability to meet strict deadlines
· TICO certification an asset
Working Relationships
Work closely with school representatives and traveling students to provide unforgettable travel experiences that exceed their expectations. Work closely with the National Sales Director by planning and executing on business strategy.
Working Conditions
Splitting time between the office and out in the field between Monday and Friday and will require some evening and weekend work/travel depending on the time frame in which tasks need to be completed.
